It can be daunting to work into a room and be told you’ll be throwing axes for 60 minutes. We’ve taken a lot of care to create an experience that is safe, fun & unique.
All throwers in a group have their own dedicated space, which is a cage with a single target allowing for a more focused and personalised axe-throwing experience.This setup enhances safety and provides a sense of autonomy, enabling throwers to run their session their way!
A single cage & target for 2 to 4 throwers in your booking means you won’t share your target with anyone outside your group. (5 to 8 players will have 2 targets etc)
SAFETY FIRST
Whether it’s your first time or you’re coming back to Axe Yard/Prison Island for another fun day out, we always kick off with a safety briefing with one of our friendly staff. It’s also your chance to ask any questions so you can feel comfortable as gameplay starts.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Throwers will have plenty of time to warm up and get comfortable throwing. We cater for first timers through to those with a little more experience, either way we will teach you all you need to know. Once you’re throwing comfortably it’s up to you how to run the session.

GAME TIME
With your cage table, you can select from 12 unique games, each offering a different challenge. Games include ‘21’, Exey Ozeys, Hostage, the nostalgic game of ‘Connect Four’, and even a quiz game which allows throwers to showcase their general knowledge and throwing skills at the same time – now that’s a sure way to impress a first date. Our games cater to all skill levels, with easy to follow instructions. After all, this isn’t the usual axe throwing – THIS IS AXE YARD!
