Just an excellent evening, even better than we expected. Charlie, our prison guard, was fab & set the tone for the evening - he was enthusiastic & informative and we were fired up before we got into the rooms. So many great challenges and a decent cuppa at the end. Cannot recommend enough

Visited with the missus and we couldn’t have had a better time. Heather at the front desk was more than accommodating, we were a bit confused about what to do at first, but everything was explained to us clearly, she was patient and answered all our (many) questions with the biggest smile. Will definitely be back 💪

Great fun for a party of 4 if you enjoy puzzles and problem solving. A range of room types, some require some athleticism and some require brains, but there is a lot of room to improve and be competitive with the scoring system in place.
Staff are lovely, explain things in simple terms, then get out of your way to let you enjoy the run. Well worth it!

Owner's reply
Thanks so much, Caoimhin! Great to hear you enjoyed the mix of physical and mental challenges and had fun getting competitive with the scores. Really appreciate the lovely feedback about our team too. Hope to see you back for another run soon! 🏆

Wow what a great place - we booked a session for 6 of us from age 8-68 and we all loved it - split into two groups and set off on our 1.5 hours of challenges - great set up with a fob to open the challenge room and all scores recorded electronically. The time flew and we managed 25 of the 31 rooms whilst our other group achieved 28 of the rooms. We were in Ireland for a family wedding and it coincided woth our granddaughters 12th Birthday and this was what she wanted to do - it definitely didn’t disappoint. We will be returning on our next visit to Ireland. Great location with free on site parking

She was also very personable. The only downside was we should’ve done the 2 hours instead of the 1.5 hours. We will definitely be back!

Rang up and reserved the “thinking box” was so fun the girl explained everything well. We came in a group of 4 and split into 2 teams. Would definitely say 2/3 people a group. Only thing was when you choose a box you have to stick to that box and can’t move to a different one if the one you choose is very difficult.

Took my wife and 2 sons (7 & 8) for my birthday and had a great time. We booked online and went for the 1.5 hour session and it flew by.
If anyone remembers the crystal maze it's basically like that.
Beware the 'Tilt' room if you have any balance issues/vertigo.
Drinks and snacks are available at reception which aren't allowed on the game floor but each team is allocated a locker along with their fob to enter each game room.
Would highly recommend for families and small groups or multiple teams for large groups. 👌🏼

Took part in the axe throwing, Hadley was our instructor, he was friendly, explained everything fully and was very supportive during the session, giving hints and tips on how to improve. Will definitely return to take part in other activities on offer. An excellent Friday afternoon session to start the weekend.

We came here for axe throwing and had a lot of fun.
Kevin explained everything to us with great patience and gave us many tips. Even though the Irish English wasn't always easy for us, everything worked out perfectly.
In any case, we had a lot of fun and highly recommend axe throwing.

Visited may 27th, staff are so friendly. We did the axe throwing and the prison island itself. Robyn was an amazing coach and taught us the correct way to throw the axe. We ended up having a great time! She even let us pick what music we listened to. We even added extra time to our prison island experience as it was that much fun! They’re really is something for everyone. It also has lockers to store your stuff & toilets to use. There is food/snack/drink available in the cafe, with lots of choice. Of course there’s also toilets. Great place, will visit again!

I think this might be my favourite activity place ever!

We went as a family, two adults and a 12 year old for 90 mins. Did the challenge rooms.

Some were so much fun, some so hard, and some just confusing. Lol. A great mix. We managed most rooms but did miss some that id love to try.

We did this whilst on holiday and was the highlight of our trip. Staff super nice too. Id love to try the other activities.

Come on guys, open one in Scotland. It would be huge.

Owner's reply
Love this — thank you!

That mix is exactly what we aim for 😅

Cannot recommend this place enough. Enjoyed it so much we added on an extra hour. Kevin and Ben were amazing and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable and even gave us a sneaky clue for one of the room.

Also as a wheelchair user I was still able to join in for nearly all of the rooms and didnt feel left out at all. We did come mid week and it was quiet aswel so it was easy to het around but I would assume its busy at the weekends

Cant wait to come back and try the other activities

In booking our tour of Belfast, we are looking for something a little bit more out of the box then the usual museums and tourist sites. We wanted to do something “like” and escape room but different and Prison Island scratched that itch. We got the hour pass for the two of us and we were able to try every single challenge. They were so innovative and while there were a couple that were too difficult/not possible to complete as a duo team, the majority were and it was a lot of fun. Wha a great night out!

Owner's reply
Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re really glad Prison Island hit the spot for something a bit different during your trip to Belfast. It’s great to hear you managed to get around all the challenges in your hour and had fun tackling them as a team.

On a stag do from Scotland. Staff very friendly and special mention to Robyn who looked after our party on completion. Some challenging rooms but all fun and brings out the competitive side. Didn't get to all rooms, however and maybe a limit on how many reattempts you get, as my team where waiting for others to come out. Great day however and recommended.

Very good first time experience. For my partners birthday. Location was nice and quiet which we absolutely didn't mind. Mali was our coach he was very helpful in guiding us as it was our first time. He was giving us lots of tips on getting better and more accurate shots. Would definitely recommend and would of loved to book again if we was staying longer. Also very nice touch getting some pictures of us and having copy's sent to you directly.

What a fab afternoon spent with my kids, they had an absolute ball! The staff at the venue are second to none, shout out to Robyn who kept us right. The kid's quiz was the perfect balance of reaching and achievable questions, with everyone feeling like they could partake. The music round was definitely the highlight. Could not recommend Prison Island and Quiz Boxing more! We'll be back!

We had an absolute blast at Prison Island. 🏝️🎉 The whole experience was so much fun, but honestly the staff made it even more special. 🙌🤩

A huge thank you 🙏 to our Prison Officers, Robyn and Hayden, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and lovely from start to finish. 😊👏

We mentioned that it was our 10th anniversary, ❤️ and the team went above and beyond by surprising us with a bottle of Prosecco. 🥂💕 Such a kind and thoughtful gesture that truly made our day and topped off our trip to Belfast perfectly. 🌆😊

We can’t recommend this place enough. 🙌⭐ Thank you so much for the amazing memories. We’ll definitely be back. 💕💯

Once again a big thank you. 🙏

Sunday was the first visit for our family at Prison Island, my youngest daughter who is 7 got scared pretty quickly. Due to this we went out to the wee cafe area to wait on the rest of our family. A staff member named Stevie noticed my daughters upset and came straight over to ask if there was anything he could do to help. He told my daughter that there was a massive dance floor, a room full of giant balls that we could go jump through and many more exciting things. My daughter normally does not take to strangers but Stevie had changed her mind immediately and took us back in. Stevie was also able to find out which room our family was in to allow us to go join in the fun. He went above and beyond and made our first experience top class!!! Thank you

Owner's reply
Thank you so much for sharing this feedback. We’re really glad your daughter ended up enjoying herself, and that Stevie was able to help her feel comfortable and excited to get back involved. He has a great way with guests, especially our younger ones, and it’s lovely to hear he made such a difference to your family’s first visit. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to him, and we hope to welcome you all back again soon

We had a fantastic time at Prison Island Belfast, Corey was very helpful throughout. We opted for the package, 31 rooms and Axe throwing for 1 hour each, but the challenge rooms definitely take more time (the website does state this) as we only managed to attempt half of them. We will return!

Went here as a part of the Prision Island and Axe Throwing package and it was so much fun. The area is very safe and the variety of different throwing games made it really interesting. Robyn was the staff member who helped us and she was fantastic. Robyn explained everything so well, hyped us up throughout the game, advised us how to throw our axes, took great photos of us and was generally just perfect. I really cannot think of anyone more perfect at their role. The whole experience was so good that I just can't wait to go back and do it again.

Owner's reply
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a brilliant review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed both Prison Island and Axe Throwing — the mix of challenges and games definitely keeps things exciting.

Went here with some friends with the Axe Throwing bundle and it was amazing. So immersive and each room was so different and had a great range of difficulty. Our staff member helping us was Kelly and she was so funny and so good at our safety briefing. Kelly helped us take photos afterwards in the lobby and got us set up so quickly. Brilliant staff and a brilliant experience, highly recommend. The time flew by.

Customer service was amazing! The whole experience is really fun and you can make a great day of it.

As a little improvement I think a list of what rooms need 3 people should be given to those who have 2 only!

Finally, the axe throwing was really fun and once they show you the health and safety you get your own freedom to have fun but staff float around to make sure your doing good and enjoying your time!

Owner's reply
Thanks so much for the fantastic review — we’re delighted you had such a fun day with us!

Prison Island can certainly be challenging with two players. There are a few rooms designed for three, but there are still plenty of points to be gained!

We’re also glad you enjoyed Axe Yard. Our team love giving guests the freedom to have fun while staying nearby to make sure everyone’s enjoying themselves — great to hear that came across.

Hope we’ll see you back again soon for another round of challenges!

Just out of one of the funniest experiences ever. Myself and two friends “tried” to beat the prison system at Belfast Prison Experience. The cells were packed with brilliant tasks for all. Steven, one of our prison guards even joined in the fun in the tilt room which was definitely our favourite. He along with all the other friendly staff ensured we had a great time from the second we walked through the front door. It’s obvious they love what they do. The price was very reasonable for the experience and you could tailor your choice of cells to suit your personal preferences. Highly highly recommend a visit if you are in Belfast and looking for a bit of competitive fun.

Thank you so much for such an amazing review! We’re delighted you and your friends had such a fun time trying to beat the prison system. We had an amazing visit to the Axe Yard. The interactive challenges were entertaining and added a fun, competitive element. Playing connect 4, scoring points on a target, knocking down clowns, popping balloons and more. There are so many to choose from and they accommodate a variety of skill levels. A special mention to Mali our axe throwing instructor today who made the whole experience extra memorable. He made sure to explain the techniques and safety points clearly before we started but then kept up his engagement the whole way through our session. Offering tips and encouragement and helping us to improve. By the end we were both hitting the bullseye! A great afternoon and we would certainly highly recommend this experience!

Owner's reply
Wow — what a fantastic review! 🎯 We’re so glad you enjoyed all the interactive games (those clowns don’t stand a chance 😅) and that Mali made your session extra memorable. He’ll be delighted to hear your kind words. Huge congrats on hitting those bullseyes by the end — we can’t wait to welcome you back for more!

Great visit to Prison Island. Group of 4, mixed ages all had great fun. Be prepared for a physical kick up the arse, not just brain power required! We booked for 1hr and it absolutely flew in. Would recommend booking for 1.5hr minimum. Easy to find off boucher and lots of parking available. At the time I felt it was quite expensive but in hindsight it was well worth it, saying that it'll be for a treat day out when we go again. Plenty of different rooms and challenges available to suit everyone. Staff friendly and helpful and check on everyone if they need anything on the way round. Cafe available but we didn't try it just grabbed a few drinks on the way out after. Fun photo ops at line up walls and wooden 'electric' chair in the 'island'. Would recommend.

Owner's reply
Thanks so much for the detailed review! 🙌 We’re thrilled your group had such a great time (and got that mix of brain and body workout 😅). Great tip about booking 1.5 hours — it really does make the most of the experience. We’ll pass on your kind words to the team, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another treat day out!
