We have a standard Hen Party package giving a minimum of 10 players 1 hour of playtime. If you have 10 or more paying, we throw in a FREE GIFT for one lucky player (you can guess who!). We also have an extra time Hen Party Package that gives you 1.5hours of playtime.

What Your Visit Looks Like

You’ll arrive in your group and enter through the reception. It’s here we will line you up and get your mug shots taken. Once you’re ready, you will split into teams. We recommend teams of 3 -4 players.  We can welcome groups of up to 100 players, so never worry if your aunt’s friend’s daughter wants to tag along too, or if you have any last-minute additions; we’ve got you!

Each team will get tagged, locking their contraband in the free lockers provided.

A quick brief will ensure you’re clued in on how to play. Once in the prison, you’re free to choose any challenge cell you feel fit, retrying all cells as many times as you want. The aim of the game is to score the most points throughout your sentence. A real-time leaderboard will show all your other teams’ scores – with a group name attached – you can easily identify your mates. As well as smack-talking in the halls, there’s plenty of time for that!

What are the different hen party packages available at Prison Island?

We have a standard hen party package for 10 or more people that gives you a full hour of gameplay in the prison. If you have 10 or more playing, we throw in a gift for one lucky player (you can guess who). We also have an extended 1.5-hour package if you think people will want to play for longer, which usually happens if you’re a competitive bunch.

What’s the capacity for a hen party at Prison Island?

Our hen party packages have a minimum of 10 people, up to 100. We also cater to smaller groups who can book as normal and let us know they’re a Hen Party when booking.

Are there any age restrictions?

Prison Island is suitable for anyone aged 9+, so if you’re doing more of an inclusive family hen do, there’s no problem at all. If your hen party is booking for Axe Yard too, please note that it is an 18+ activity as we use real axes & kids are not allowed.

What does a hen party need to wear at Prison Island?

While not a full-on workout, you’ll be moving around a lot from game to game. Some are mental. Some are physical. We recommend you all dress comfortably. If you are block-booking to do Axe Yard too, everyone needs to be wearing appropriate footwear (i.e. no heels or open-toe shoes around the axes)

Can the hen party drink alcohol?

Due to the nature of activities, we don’t sell alcohol, and players must be of sound mind to take part in Prison Island. For any parties also doing Axe Yard, ice bucket of 6x 0% alcohol per axe lane are available – that includes alco-free Kopparberg & Peroni.

What are the transport options to Prison Island?

Most hen parties that come into Belfast from elsewhere are usually travelling in minibuses or party buses. We have a car park outside, free of use. For hen parties staying in town, if you’re getting taxis over, it’s easy to get in & out. We’ve even had parties walk over the walkway from the trendy cocktail bars on Lisburn Road to get here early.
