WORLD CUP Country Final – đ RESULTS đ
World Cup Country Final at Prison Island Belfast: Pure Madness and Craic!
Right, lads and ladies, let me tell ya about the absolute madness that went down at Prison Island Belfast for the World Cup Country Final on Sunday 13th Oct. Teams of three had been training for weeks, and by the time the big day hit, the tension was thicker than a good olâ pint of stout. Weâre talking the best of the best here, all hoping to take the win and leg it to Malmo, Sweden, for the World Finals.
Iâm not joking when I say these teams were training like maniacs. Weâre talking a mad mix of footie skills, mental maths thatâd make ya wish ya paid attention in school and balancing acts thatâd make ya look like youâve had one too many. Youâd swear they were getting ready for some sort of Olympic sport, but nah, this was way more intense.
The Big Day: The Hallways Were Pure Chaos
So the day finally arrived. The top 14 teams were there, eyes laser-focused, all buzzing with adrenaline. The atmosphere was electricâevery single team ready to conquer all 31 challenge cells in a free 90-minute session. One team even had Cue Cards to study for before the starting whistle. This wasnât just a friendly competition. People were giving it stacks, and there was no holding back. The kind of atmosphere where you know something bigâs about to go down.
Iâm not messing, the speed in the hallways was unreal. Teams were legging it from cell to cell, charging into rooms like they were escaping a riot. Youâd hear the sound of doors beeping, yelling, and cheering. It was mad how fast folk were moving. No score screens were on, so no one knew who was winningâjust flying blind, giving it their all.
The Competition: Everyone Was On Edge
Hereâs the kicker: the Prison Island Guards were watching the whole thing. Every few minutes, weâd be nervously checking the scores on our leaderboard, watching the positions flip faster than a pancake on Pancake Tuesday. The pressure was insane. Teams were changing positions every couple of minutes, with first place flipping to fourth, and second place barely hanging on to a podium spot.
The Countdown was onÂ
Now, to keep the tension going, the Guards announced a 1 hour countdown, a 30 minute countdown, a 15 minute countdown and a 5 minute warning, and every time, ya could just feel the air get tighter. But hereâs the mad part: with just 5 minutes to go, things were neck and neck. Teams were darting to their final challenges, hearts racing, hands shaking, trying to push their way to the top.
The Cocktail Reception: Craic and Banter Awaiting Results
After the madness, the cocktails were flowing. It was like a switch flippedâone minute everyone was super competitive, the next; standing around, chatting away, acting like they didnât just almost collapse in the cells. The buzz in the room was unreal. People swapping stories about how they managed to âBeat the Nestâ and swapping all different tactics, but you could see everyone trying to figure out who mightâve nicked first place.
Behind all the banter, everyone was eagerly waiting for the final results. You could see teams trying to figure out where they landed, replaying every room in their heads, wondering if theyâd done enough. But no one had a clue. You could feel the excitement in the air, like kids waiting to open their presents on Christmas morning.
The Results Are In: Malmo, Here We Come
Then the moment came. The results. Ya could hear a pin drop as the Guards started talking.
The room went absolutely still, everyone holding their breath, waiting to hear where they stood. The Guards announced the teams positions after 30 mins game play, 60mins, 75mins, and with 5 mins to go- Cruel, I know. But the top three spots were shifting constantly, faster than you could say âPrison Island Belfastâ.
It was anyoneâs game. (I think we needed a cocktail after it all!)
The Results:Â
3rd placeâSAVE A HORSE. Fair play to them, they fought hard. Well deserved. The room erupted in cheers. (2023 Country Final Winners)
2nd place, and bagging their tickets to Malmo, Sweden, was the absolute machines from Extra DMG. The place went wildâthese guys literally jumped for joy.
And then, finally, the big one, 1st place, the champions, the team everyone had their eyes on from the startâ đCHAEWONâS ANGELS! đ They smashed it. The room exploded in cheers, with hugs, fist bumps, and maybe even a few tears. It was pure bedlamâand honestly, the Angels deserved every bit of it. Theyâd flown through our challenges like absolute legends.
What a Day: The Craic Was Mighty
All in all, it was a day none of us will forget anytime soon. Pure tension, pure competition, and some of the best craic ya could ask for. If ya missed out this year, make sure ya donât next time. This kind of madness only comes around once a year and ya donât want to be sitting on the sidelines.
So get your mates, get training, and weâll see ya next time. And who knows? Maybe youâll be the one heading to the World Cup Finals 2025, gunning for that world championship glory.
See you in Malmo teams – Letâs show the world what Belfast is made of! đ«¶đŸđȘđŒ
Until next time, Prison Island warriorsâkeep the craic mighty and the competition even mightier!
